Senior .Net developer

This is a priority request, and we need to respond by tomorrow!

Location: Maastricht (1 day per week on-site, preferably three. Remainder remote)
Hours: 32 – 40 hours per week
Language: English (Dutch is a plus)

For an innovative client shaping the future of the energy market, we are looking for a passionate and skilled Senior Software Engineer with at least 5 years of experience. You will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable applications using modern .NET technologies and Angular, contributing to our mission in the energy market.

Requirements

• Higher education working and thinking level
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a full stack or backend developer.
• Expert knowledge of C# / .NET 8, ASP.NET Core, and Git.
• Solid knowledge of SQL Server, NoSQL (ScyllaDB) and Kafka.
• Understanding of event sourcing, CQRS and Domain Driven Design (DDD).
• Commitment to writing clean, maintainable code.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and deployment on Kubernetes (nice to have).
• Familiarity with Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Previous experience in the energy market is a significant advantage (specifically Pricing & Portfolio Management).
• Knowledge on Angular is a plus.

What You’ll Do

• Design and develop robust and scalable backend services using Domain Driven Design, Event Sourcing, CQRS, .NET 8, ASP.NET Core and C#.
• Implement and optimize SQL Server and ScyllaDB (NoSql) databases and write efficient queries.
• Leverage Kafka for building event-driven, scalable microservices.
• Apply principles of Clean Code, Domain Driven Design (DDD), and Event Sourcing in daily development.
• Use Git for version control and collaborative development.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and CI/CD pipelines (knowledge of Jenkins and Kubernetes is a plus).
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Take ownership of your codebase and contribute to architectural decisions.
