As an Oracle APEX Developer, you are responsible for designing, developing, and implementing applications using Oracle Application Express (APEX). Apex Developers work closely with business stakeholders and other members of the development team to ensure that solutions are delivered on time, meet requirements, and are scalable. The job is fulltime in Breda.
More specifically, you will:
· Design and develop web applications using Oracle APEX;
· Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for the application;
· Create database objects such as tables, views, and procedures;
· Develop and implement business logic and data validation rules;
· Develop and test RESTful web services and integrate with third-party systems;
· Create views, reports and dashboards using Oracle APEX;
· Ensure the performance, scalability, and security of the application;
· Provide technical support and maintenance for the application;
· Keep up-to-date with the latest Oracle APEX features and technologies.
· Design and develop Tableau reports and make sure these align with our development and architectural principles

A significant part of the BMW Financial Services IT department is located in Breda from where IT Services are developed and provided for the European markets. High customer satisfaction, agile delivery and robust IT solutions are very relevant for the BMW Group. In this role you will be working in an international team of highly qualified staff.
BMW Financial Services is in the process of replacing its core applications with a Service Oriented Architecture using an Agile way of working and a DevOps approach. This new IT architecture is based on IT artifacts such as business processes and workflow, business rules, micro services, CDaaS and plain Java code. Integrated with best breed standard solutions like for example Salesforce or SAP.
Eisen:
To be successful in this role, an Oracle APEX developer should:
· Have a strong understanding of Oracle database concepts, SQL, PL/SQL (3+ years proven experience, with a focus on APEX development);
· Have a strong understanding of web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, jQuery and JavaScript;
· Have a strong understanding of BI Tools and Reporting (Tableau, Power BI etc.)
· Have expert skills in using validations, dynamic actions, processes, authorizations and automated actions like informing the right users by email at certain processes in APEX;
· Be able to use advanced solutions in APEX that exceed the build in functionalities of APEX (e.g. HTML/CSS adjustments; javascript actions; customized layouts; customized emails);
· Possess excellent problem-solving and communication skills and attention to detail;
· Have the ability to manage multiple topics simultaneously;
· Have experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies;
· Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team;
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is a pre;
