For TenneT, we are looking for an experienced OBM / uCMDB Platform Engineer.

About the role:
As an IT OBM/UCMDB Platform Engineer, you will be working in a complex and challenging environment where creativity and initiative for new ideas are highly valued. OBM and UCMDB play a crucial role in providing insight into TenneT’s application landscape. You will collaborate with your DevOps colleagues on the OpenText Operations Bridge Manager (OBM) platform and be responsible for developing and managing the OBM and UCMDB environment within TenneT. It is your task to ensure that discoveries, integrations, and event management are maintained and further developed so that both data quality and monitoring accuracy remain guaranteed. You will work together with service managers and engineers from other teams to ensure that the services align with the organization’s needs and meet the agreed SLAs.

Main tasks:
• Manage and optimize OpenText OBM and UCMDB, including configuration and integrations.
• Develop and implement automation solutions (Ansible) within the monitoring and configuration management environment.
• Analyze and resolve incidents and issues within OBM/UCMDB.
• Integrate OBM/UCMDB with other ITSM tools and environments.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and event correlation in OBM.
• Provide advice on best practices and improvements within the monitoring and configuration management landscape.
• Collaborate in a Scrum team and contribute to sprints and backlog refinement.
• Ensure data quality and monitoring accuracy by continuously improving discoveries and integrations.
• Support compliance and security requirements within OBM/UCMDB operations.
Profile:
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience with OpenText OBM (Operations Bridge Manager) and OpenText UCMDB. This a hard requirement.
• Bachelor’s in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Deep knowledge of event management, monitoring strategies, and CMDB management.
• Experience in script development (e.g., Groovy, Java, Python) for automation and integrations.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes, including incident, problem, and change management.
• Experience with (REST) APIs and configuring connectors.
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and cloud environments is a plus.
• Strong experience with automation, particularly Ansible.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and d-noneing DevOps methodologies.
• Excellent proficiency in English is mandatory, spoken and written. Dutch is an extra.
• Willingness to provide 24/7 support when required. ( 1 x 5 weeks )
• Experience with log analysis and troubleshooting in distributed systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with security and compliance standards related to IT operations.
