KNOWLEDGE
• Possesses conceptual knowledge of fundamental theories, principles, and practices typically acquired through a college or university degree or equivalent work experience.
Additional details:
• Foundational understanding of computer science principles acquired through a relevant degree in engineering or personal learning.
• Proficiency in fundamental testing concepts and terminology.
• Ability to install and configure software needed to run tests.
• Exp - 2-3 years.

OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE
• Performs routine assignments.
• Uses existing processes to solve routine or standard problems.
• Has no discretion to vary from established processes by performing structured work assignments.
• Receives instruction, guidance and direction from more senior roles.
Additional details:
Problem solving
• Minimum. Everything is defined. Expectation is to be able to execute tasks and identify and raise issues in technical or process related malfunctions.
• Asks questions to clarify requirements/acceptance criteria, how to improve user experience.

Accountability
• Writes and executes test cases for their work with guidance from mentors and team members.
• Supports with drive testing (conditional).
• Reproduces simple bugs reported from production to be able to verify the fix.
• With guidance from mentor or the team, logs bugs With required level of details.

Strategy
• Follows the test strategy and plans and with support designs test cases at expected level, quality.

Training others
• Shares the knowledge from their domain of expertise (e.g. ios expert shares knowledge with Android specialized colleagues).

STAKEHOLDERS
• Within Quality Assurance team, associated development team.
Job Description
What do we expect from you?

There is no set route to becoming a senior tester at TomTom. But this is the kind of profile we have in mind for someone to be successful in this particular role:

Being able to work on a Bachelor level or higher, preferably with a background in IT

2 years of hands-on testing exposure with good knowledge of test processes.

Test background; ability to identify risks areas and define proper test coverage; improve current tests.

Proven experience in the automation of test cases.

Knowledge of Git and understanding of continuous integration, automated builds and build systems.

Quality Assurance and Testing mindset and passion

Excellent people and communication skills, Flexibility, and being able to work across multiple teams and cultures

Fluent in English (verbal, reading, writing)

Able to drive the test car and validate the application

Note: A driver's license is a must
