About the unit:
Strategy and Partnerships (STP)
Strategy and Partnerships is set up because of TenneT’s needs in new ways of working to realize our ambition to advance the energy transition. In doing so, innovative partnerships will be key to driving scalable solutions for flexibility, renewable energy integration and digitalization.The department consists out of four teams:

• Strategy (STR): The role is to be on top of external developments, define flagship projects, pro-active work with and challenge the business on the progress of the strategy with innovation and CSR integrated
• Business Development (BDP): supporting TenneT in its strategic goals to drive the energy transition and safeguard TenneT’s financial health by managing strategic projects, providing corporate finance support to the business, identifying new business opportunities
• Digital & Flex Development (DFD): developing innovative Digital & Flex solutions, together with internal and external stakeholders. DFD manages, monitors, initiates, starts & stops projects in line with business needs
• Business Acceleration Team (BAT): supports the business in realizing TenneT’s Responsible Growth agenda, by helping to prioritize and jointly realizing improvement initiatives with high complexity and high impact.

What will you be doing?
The Business Acceleration Team (BAT) at TenneT plays a critical role in bridging the gap between strategy and implementation, driving strategic topics, and helping the organization achieve its goals. As a Business Acceleration Manager, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including board members and senior leaders, to accelerate high-impact initiatives. You will be a part of cross-functional teams in fast-paced, agile environments, ensuring that strategy translates seamlessly into actionable outcomes.

Main responsibilities:
• Collaborate with senior leaders to solve complex strategic problems and lead the implementation of 12-week initiatives in 2-week sprint cycles.
• Build strong, trust-based relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and facilitate change management efforts.
• Scope, plan, and execute projects under tight deadlines, identifying inefficiencies and developing feasible solutions to optimize processes
• Synthesize complex information into clear recommendations and present actionable insights to senior leaders.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless collaboration and successful project delivery.
• Prepare and facilitate workshops with multiple stakeholders, employing agile methodologies for continuous improvement.

Projects you will be working on:

• Energy Boards – Addresses the current challenges in the environmental processes within our units, which contribute to projects and programs. It has been observed that there is a lack of uniformity and integrality in cooperation and interaction with external stakeholders. Additionally, internal processes are often perceived as inefficient

• Environmental Impact (Omgevingsmanagement) – The project addresses the current challenges in the environmental processes within our units, which contribute to projects and programs. It has been observed that there is a lack of uniformity and integrality in cooperation and interaction with external stakeholders. Additionally, internal processes are often perceived as inefficient.

An HBO level of working and thinking.

3 years of strategy consulting or 5+ years of project management experience, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects.

Strong background in change and stakeholder management (with the ability to build trust-based relationships) is a must.

Experience with Strategic Organizational Design is a must.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, capable of conducting root cause analysis and providing actionable recommendations.

Experience in mapping and optimizing processes, with a hands-on mentality for driving business impact.

Competence in AGILE project management, working effectively in short delivery cycles.

Experience delivering large-scale, high-visibility projects within tight timelines and resource constraints.

Technical communication: ability to communicate with technical teams is required in, preferably in industries like energy, infrastructure, or utilities.

Experience in High-Impact Stakeholder Forums (e.g., government panels, boards, or industry working groups).

Strong written and oral communication skills in Dutch and a professional level of English.
