For one of our clients in the area of Amsterdam we are looking for a freelance Senior Data Engineer.

Location:  Amsterdam area    
Start date: As soon as possible
Period: 3 months (with option to extend)
Contract hours: 40

Project description
This department is one of the main environments contributing to our client’s strategy. It’s the first step towards helping engineers consume The departments’ objective is to simplify and streamline the process of onboarding, consuming, and practicing consistent resource governance in public clouds. 
These services department is an easy and compliant manner to produce the same products and services throughout the entire world. 
You will be part of a team that will architect and setup a data pipeline to collect and analyze various types of data. Think about compliancy and sustainability to give insights to the other teams and the whole organization about the compliance and status of our infrastructure. 
Your activities will be developing solutions using Python. Writing KQL queries and terraform code. This in using different services of Azure to create data pipelines such as event grid and storage accounts using ADX as a database.

Competence

• At least Bachelor's degree, preferably in Information Technology.
• Familiar with Azure policies. 
• Experienced with Azure services such as ADX, AZ functions, logic apps and event grids.
• Well experienced in Azure DevOps, CI/CD tools and data pipelines. 
• Experience with KQL queries.
• Proven Cloud experience, preferable Azure and GCP.
• Terraform knowledge and experience.
• Knowledge of Configuration Management tools like Ansible, Puppet or Salt. 
• Proven experienced Python developer skills. 
• 5-7+ years of Experience as a Data Engineer. 
• Experience with machine learning. 
• Data collection, processing, and analysis.
• Nice to have is experience with machine learning.
• Experience with working in high performing international based Agile IT teams. 
• Good understanding of English.
