The TenneT Department BTO (Business Technology Organisation) is responsible for developing, realising and managing IT technology for all of TenneT. Just like TenneT’s energy landscape, the IT environment is characterised by dynamism and the need to be able to respond increasingly quickly to customer requests. With that in mind, we created a unit that is agile and can quickly adapt to future requirements, in an environment where employees are engaged and feel involved. Open and transparent.

The role of the unit in this is not only to meet the needs of the business, but rather to come up with new insights and ideas and help to achieve new goals more effectively and efficiently within an integral cooperation with the other units. Not only through automation, but also through data-driven decisions, standardisation and digitisation of processes.

As a GenAI Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in both defining the architecture (solution architecture and involvement in determining enterprise architecture) and building and managing GenAI environments and solutions hands-on. You will contribute significantly to our digital transformation initiatives, which are typically in Prototype and Pilot phases, with some moving to production. Supporting new use case development and developing reusable solution modules in a central cloud environment are our primary short-term objectives. You will also contribute to defining our future GenAI architecture and Operating model.
You are part of the Digital & Data department in TenneT’s Business Transformation Office. The team is in Bayreuth (GE) and Arnhem (NL).

Key Responsibilities:
• Define solution architecture and contribute to determining our enterprise architecture;
• Design, build, and manage Azure Cloud solutions, ensuring performance and cost transparency;
• Solutioning and development of both simple and more complex GenAI-driven applications, both low code and high code;
• Cross-functional collaboration and communication in gathering requirements, prototyping/hackathons;
• Transfer knowledge and skills;
• Stay abreast of the latest trends in GenAI and MS Azure Cloud to drive innovation.
