Where Will You Work?
As the Cloud Enablement Manager, you will play a critical role within TenneT’s MCP Go Cloud Program, leading the Enablement Team, which forms part of the broader MCP Service Team. The Enablement Team is at the core of TenneT’s cloud transformation journey, responsible for delivering the support and solutions that facilitate successful adoption of public cloud services across the organization.
Your team operates within the MCP Service Team, tasked with providing end-to-end public cloud services to ensure agility, security, and operational excellence within TenneT’s cloud infrastructure. The Enablement Team focuses on solutioning, onboarding, and supporting TenneT’s application teams, helping them transition to the public cloud and fully leverage cloud-native technologies. The MCP Service Team operates within the BTO Operations Infrastructure, Integration and Cloud department.
You will report directly to the Platform Owner of the MCP, collaborating closely to ensure the Enablement Team’s efforts align with the overall cloud strategy and roadmap. In this leadership role, you will help orchestrate demand from various teams and ensure the successful execution of cloud initiatives, enabling TenneT to remain at the forefront of cloud innovation within the energy sector. We work hybrid, you are expected to work on site in Arnhem at least two days, as well as occasional travel to Germany.

TenneT has embarked on a journey to the public cloud (Microsoft Azure), introducing cutting-edge technology to enable modern cloud-native solutions that align with our goals and responsibilities in the energy transition. For this cloud transformation, we have partnered with Capgemini, who serves as our Managed Cloud Provider (MCP), helping TenneT to build, design, and maintain our Public Cloud infrastructure. This collaboration significantly enhances the agility and resilience of our IT infrastructure, positioning us at the forefront of technological innovation and security advancements.
MCP: Go Cloud
The MCP: Go Cloud Program drives TenneT’s cloud journey. The program supports the newly established run-organization, orchestrating application migrations, including the transition of the SAP landscape to the cloud. To ensure the success of this transition and the continued provision of MCP services to TenneT, we have established a robust platform organization. At the heart of this platform organization is the Enablement Team. This team provides essential support to TenneT’s application teams by offering solutions, onboarding assistance, and guidance, ensuring a seamless and successful cloud transition. Leveraging the expertise of the MCP, we aim to redefine traditional IT delivery models by providing unprecedented speed, security, and resilience to our end-users. The Enablement Team plays a crucial role in guiding teams and maximizing the value derived from MCP’s cloud solutions.

Core Responsibilities:
• Manage and lead the Enablement Team (10-15 FTE) on a daily basis, ensuring team cohesion and alignment with organizational goals;
• Provide leadership and functional guidance to a cross-border team of experts, collaborating closely with Cloud Architects and Service Managers to foster international knowledge sharing and collaboration;
• Establish and maintain clear operational processes, ensuring effective team structures by defining roles and responsibilities, improving workflows, and continuously driving operational excellence and team efficiency;
• Ensure seamless alignment with initiatives and customers onboarding to the MCP Service (Public Cloud), guaranteeing a smooth transition and optimal cloud adoption experience;
• Translate organizational demand into clear, actionable EPICs, supporting the Platform Owner in prioritizing tasks, managing the backlog, and ensuring that business requirements are met with high-quality technical solutions;
• Guard the demand planning, coordinate and drive timely availability of MCP Services for customers;
• Proactively identify and mitigate issues and risks impacting the Enablement Team’s work, implementing risk mitigation strategies and ensuring the delivery of timely, optimal customer support;
• Enable financial management for the platform, collaborating closely with the FinOPS Manager to optimize cost-effectiveness, monitor budgetary performance, and provide application-level insights;
• Facilitate a strong partnership between TenneT and Capgemini, continuously improving collaboration, operational efficiency, and ensuring that the teams work seamlessly as one;
• Drive innovation within the team, encouraging the adoption of new technologies, cloud practices, and agile methodologies to keep TenneT at the cutting edge of cloud solutions;
• Build and maintain stakeholder relationships, effectively communicating with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to ensure alignment of cloud strategies with business objectives;
• Support talent development and team growth, offering mentorship, fostering a culture of learning, and ensuring the team members have access to the right training and development opportunities.
